WHAT IS PETERBOROUGH
CITIZENS?

We are part of Peterborough Citizens, a Citizens UK 'Chapter' (Group). We are a diverse alliance of people from schools, faith institutions, universities, trade unions, and community groups.

Together, we organise to overcome injustice and win change on the things that you and your local communities care about most across the city.

If you are passionate about improving things in your city, this might be the opportunity for you...

Here is one of our housing campaign actions at the Peterborough Museum, meeting with the City Council, Housing Developers and Citizens member organisations such as Thomas Deacon Academy, Nene Park Trust and HELP.

WHY SHOULD I?

As an Organisation there are many benefits, including networking; training opportunities for staff, volunteers and service users; empowering the people in your organisation; publicity & increased awareness of your organisation; improving the city you live and work in..

Lots of different groups can get involved such as Churches, Mosques or any other faith groups, Schools, Colleges,

Businesses, Health Organisations, Charities and Unions.

As an individual within a member organisation, you can get involved in the campaigns, giving you free training, opportunities in leadership, civic responsibility, networking and its great for your CV!

You can play an important and active role in improving things that matter to you, in the city you live in.
